A new international soccer tournament launched in England, bringing together four of the top women's national teams in the world.
Four nations ranked in the top 10 of the FIFA World Rankings will battle for the inaugural 2022 edition of the competition: No. 3 Germany, No. 6 Canada, No. 8 England and No. 9 Spain will take advantage of the February international window to fine-tune their teams ahead of important competitions on tap this summer.
While Canada will be involved in a qualifying tournament this summer for the next edition of the FIFA Women's World Cup and Olympics (regional CONCACAF W Championship), the European teams are gearing up for Euro 2022 in England from July 6-31.
The meeting between Germany and Spain will be interesting given both teams were drawn against one another in Group B of Euro 2022 together with Denmark and Finland.

What is the Arnold Clark Cup?
The Arnold Clark Cup is a new invitational tournament for top women's national teams around the world: Germany, Spain and Canada travel to join England for the first edition.
It follows the mold of other invitational tournaments that are typically scheduled at this point in the calendar year, like the SheBelieves Cup, held in the United States.
The competition consists of a round-robin tournament, with each team playing each other once. Teams collect three points for a win, one for a draw and none for a loss. The team that tops the standings with the most points wins the cup. In case teams are event on points, goal difference, goals scored and head-to-head results are the first three tiebreakers.
The tournament will be held at three host venues: Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium, Norwich's Carrow Road, and Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton, home of Wolves.

Arnold Clark is the company that is the title sponsor the tournament.
Arnold Clark Automobiles Ltd is one of the largest car dealer groups in Europe, named after the founder of the company, Sir Arnold Clark. It began in Scotland in 1954 and is now up to 200 dealerships across the United Kingdom.
Arnold Clark Cup match schedule
Olympic champion Canada will look to show that its 2021 run in Tokyo was no fluke as manager Bev Priestman returns to her homeland. The 35-year-old was Phil Neville's assistant for two years at the helm of the England team before taking the top job in Canada.
Meanwhile, new England coach Sarina Wiegman has announced that Arsenal's Leah Williamson will captain the Lionesses in the competition given the ongoing absence of long-serving skipper Steph Houghton.
